Now in 2021, the game is being updated to allow players to play co-op together regardless of platform. Previously, players on certain platforms were limited to playing against others on the same platform. In November of 2020, an enhanced edition of Tetris Effect called Tetris Effect: Connected was released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows 10. However, since then the game has been released for PC, with support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Initially, the game was a PS4 exclusive, with built-in support for the PlayStation VR added back in 2018. Over the past few years, Tetris Effect has been upgraded with some major updates, all of which have been free for players who own the game. This update will allow players to finally be able to stack titles together on separate screens, upgrading the co-op mode to be more remote-friendly The 2020 tile-matching video game, Tetris Effect: Connected, has finally been updated to include cross-platform multiplayer in a free update.
